Retirement ITAS

#E33F

Retirement ITAS is a great option for anyone who is 60+ and looking to visit Indonesia for a stay of up to one year.

With a Retirement ITAS, holders are able to reside in Indonesia but travel freely within and out of the country. This type of visa can only be processed for applicants who are already in Indonesia on a Visitor Visa - so in essence, only onshore applications are allowed. If you’re over the age of 60 and currently on holiday in Indonesia and have fallen in love, this might be a wonderful opportunity for you to stay longer!

For retirees looking to stay longer than one year in Indonesia, please take a look at our Golden Visa page, which explains an exciting new visa option that permits holders to stay for up to 5 years.

  • Following the Ministry of Law and Human Rights latest visa classification regulations, Retirement ITAS is now issued under the index E33F. You may have found in your research that it is known as Retirement ITAS C319, however, this index has now been renamed to E33F in accordance with the new regulations stipulated in October 2023.

  • For Retirement ITAS holders, engaging in work or employment activities is not allowed and could mean you face fines, legal charges or deportation. As such, this type of visa effectively only allows holders to stay in the country. We strongly recommend anyone who wishes to obtain a Retirement ITAS to follow all regulations and maintain respect for local customs and culture to ensure they have an enjoyable and stress-free stay in Indonesia.

Getting Your Retirement ITAS

We currently offer two fares for the application process, regular or express processing.
The process can be broken down into two phases.

  • Retirement ITAS issuance can take up to 2 months.

After your documents are submitted to our team, and accordingly to responsible authorities, you will be invited to visit the local Immigration office for passport stamping and to do biometrics.

Please consider the processing time in your travel plans, as your passport will need to stay in Immigration for the entire visa migration time. The administrative procedure of switching from Visit Visa to ITAS onshore is commonly referred to as ‘ALTUS’.

Please note:

Visa requirements, processing times and entry regulations may be subject to change due to system errors or new regulations from the Indonesian government.
