Family ITAS

Recently, an exciting new option has become available, meaning that a Family ITAS can also be used by ITAS or ITAP holders to sponsor their parents.
Regular process 14 working days.
Express process 1-3 business days.
Previously, a Family ITAS/KITAS was only available for the spouses and children (aged 17 or under) of ITAS or ITAP holders. Sometimes, the Family ITAS is also called a ‘Dependent ITAS,’ meaning that this type of ITAS is not a working visa and can only be used to join the main holder as a family member.
Family ITAS can be issued for 1, 2 or 5 years validity. Please feel free to reach out to us if there is anything else you would like to know about bringing your family members to Indonesia.

On October the 23rd 2023, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights announced a new classification system for visa names. In the past Family ITAS was issued with the index C317, but following the latest visa classification, the visa index will depend on which family member is being applied for the ITAS.
Please see the new family visa names below:
E31 – join family domiciled in Indonesia
E31A – join Indonesian spouse
E31B – join a spouse, who is ITAS/ITAP permit holder
E31C – children resulting from Indonesian + foreigner marriage
E31D – children of foreigners legally married to Indonesian
E31E – under 18 years old children of ITAS/ITAP holder
E31F – children related by the law to Indonesian mother/father
E31G – parents of Indonesian national
E31H – parents of ITAS/ITAP holders

As for any other visa, it is important that holders follow all regulations during their stay in Indonesia. Please note that you cannot engage in employment activities or work on this particular ITAS. Finally, having respect for local customs and the culture will ensure you have an enjoyable and stress-free stay in Indonesia.
Eligibility Requirements and Required Documents
1. Passport with a minimum of 6 months validity for 1 year ITAS.
2. A digital portrait photo.
3. A recent bank statement with a minimum closing balance US$2.000 (for adults).
4. Marriage Certificate in English (this is for wife/husband ITAS or for children ITAS as
parents have to be married to obtain an ITAS for family members).
5. Birth Certificate of children in English (for children ITAS).
6. Family tree card (for children ITAS).
7. ITAS or ITAP of a person whose ITAS is being joined.
8. Sponsoring company paperwork if joining Investor or Working ITAS holder.
9. IMTA, RPTKA, Proof of Payment IMTA, if joining a Working ITAS holder.
10. An employing company letterhead of a Working ITAS holder.
11. A company wet stamp.
12. A photo/scan of the director's ID Card if the director is Indonesian.
13. A photo/scan of the director's passport and e-ITAS if the director is a foreigner.
Getting Your Family ITAS
We currently offer two fares for the application process, regular or express processing.
The process can be broken down into two phases.

After your documents are submitted to our team, we will apply for your visa. It will take anywhere from 3 working days to 10 working days to be issued, depending which processing time you have chosen. Once the visa is issued, you will be sent the e-ITAS in PDF format by our team and will simply need to show it on arrival in Indonesia in the dedicated Immigration control queue for e-ITAS holders. Please note that once the e-ITAS has been issued, you have 90 days to fly with it before it expires, so bear this in mind when planning your trip in Indonesia and applying for your visa.
- Regular processing time for e-ITAS: 6-10 working days
- Express processing time for e-ITAS: 3-5 working days

After arriving in Indonesia using the e-ITAS, you will need to visit the local Immigration office within the first 30 days for passport stamping and to do biometrics. Once this step is finalized, your ITAS will be valid for 1, 2 or 5 years from the date of arrival to Indonesia. Please consider the processing times listed below in your travel plans, as your passport will need to stay in Immigration for the entire ITAS finalization time.
- Regular ITAS finalization time: 4 weeks
- Express ITAS finalization: 6-7 working days
