Where Should You Celebrate New Year’s Eve 2024 in Bali?

It’s almost the end of the year, which means it’s almost New Year’s Eve! If you’re in Bali, you may be wondering where you should celebrate, so we’ve put together a list of some of the spots you can go to to end your year on a high note.

The year 2024 is coming to an end, Bali is one of the best spots in the world to celebrate the New Year.

Beach Club Celebrations:

For the partygoers among us, heading to a beach club could be the way to end your year with a bang. Although most beach clubs charge a premium for tickets, they promise a vibrant atmosphere, international DJs, and a crowd up for having one last epic night out to end 2024.

Atlas Beach Club - Canggu:

Atlas is hosting what is said to be the biggest New Year’s Eve party in Bali. Akon will headline the evening, bringing you a dose of fun nostalgia as you sing along to his chart-topping hits. Expect an impressive firework show as the countdown comes.

La Brisa - Pererenan:

La Brisa is a unique venue that will make you feel like you’re truly somewhere tropical, with its swaying palm trees and reclaimed wooden architecture. An impressive lineup including Kolter, DJ Wild, Marlie and Geco will play as you enjoy the atmosphere on the beachside. If you’re looking for a more affordable option, La Brisa is more reasonably priced than some of the bigger beach clubs in Bali.

The design of La Brisa, made from recycled wood from traditional Indonesian boats, creates a warm and authentic atmosphere, perfect for celebratory moments.

Savaya - Uluwatu:

For house music lovers, Savaya might be your best bet. With legendary house music producer Black Coffee headlining, you’re guaranteed good music that you and your friends can dance the night away to. The party will go from sunset to sunrise, and with dramatic cliff top ocean views, there might not be a better setting to welcome in the first morning of 2025. General admission tickets have already sold out, but VIP tables are still available.

FINNS Beach Club - Canggu:

FINNS is likely to go all-out for New Year’s Eve, with incredible fireworks, a drone show and headliner Flume, a Grammy-Award winning producer, headlining their beachfront stage. FINNS is a favourite for visitors in Bali, especially those who enjoy partying to chart music.

Desa Potato Head - Seminyak:

Potato Head offers a curated selection of electronic music and an artistic, interesting beachfront setting. Making their way back to the venue for New Year’s are the UK duo Overmono, as well as Carista and Baba Slitz. The party won’t stop there, as DJ Harvey plays inside the state-of-the-art club Klymax (located in Potato Head) all the way til sunrise.

Parties at Luxury Hotels:

For those who fancy staying in a resort and heading to a party for the evening, attending one of the celebrations hosted by luxury hotels might be a fun way to spend your New Year’s Eve. The options are endless, but here are a couple that you could try:

Rock Bar at AYANA - Jimbaran

Rock Bar at AYANA is perched on the side of a limestone cliff with sweeping views over the Indian Ocean, and is throwing a party complete with dancers, DJs, magicians and fireworks until 1am.

W Bali - Seminyak

W Bali in Seminyak will have two different party experiences for New Year’s Eve, with their open-air Main Stage bringing you electronic music with the likes of headliner Ferreck Dawn, while the Hip Hop Stage showcases performances by Stan, Jeremy Jay, B455 and Schizo.

Dining Experiences:

If you don’t like loud music or fancy something much more relaxing, there are many restaurants offering delicious culinary experiences to mark the special evening. Here are our top picks:

Woods Bali - Pererenan

Woods Bali will have an elegant New Year’s Eve dinner with a special menu and live jazz from 8PM, all the way to until midnight. If you fancy a more sophisticated or intimate celebration, this spot in Pererenan is the perfect place for you.

Apéritif Restaurant - Ubud

If your budget for the evening is on the larger side, head to Aperitif Restaurant in Ubud for a true fine dining experience. To celebrate New Year’s, they have created an exquisite 8-course degustation menu.

Other Ideas:

Celebrate on Like a Local:

For most locals, heading to the beach to celebrate the countdown is an enjoyable way to see in the new year. Since you’re here, why not celebrate like a local on Bali’s charming beaches? Plus, there’s the added bonus of enjoying impressive firework shows from some of the biggest beach clubs free of charge.

Some of the most popular beaches are:

  • Kuta Beach - The heart of traditional New Year's celebrations

  • Double Six Beach - Known for its spectacular fireworks display

  • Legian Beach - Perfect for beach parties and local celebrations

  • Seminyak Beach - Offering a mix of beach clubs and traditional celebrations

Generally, people celebrate New Year's at the beach because they want to watch the fireworks display.

Book a Trip Somewhere

Bali is known for its exceptional nature - and what better reason to go away and enjoy nature than the start of a new year? If you like unspoiled nature or quiet places, heading to north Bali, the quieter beaches in the south or neighbouring Lombok may provide you with a relaxing escape.

Stay In and Relax

If all of the fuss and hype seem unappealing to you - there’s no shame in staying in, getting yourself a nice bottle to drink and making a toast to 2025… or simply sleeping through the countdown.

Practical Advice:

Book Early: Many places will sell out well in advance, so booking as early as you can will ensure you have something fun to do and may help you save money.

Arrange Transportation: If you don’t drive or plan on drinking, booking your transport ahead of time is a good idea. Make sure you leave early enough to make it wherever you go, as the streets become extremely busy in south Bali, especially close to midnight.

Weather: December is the rainy season - if your evening plans revolve around being somewhere outdoors, make sure you have a backup plan in case the heavens open.

Check Dress Codes: Some venues have strict dress codes or fancy dress. Check the dress code in advance so that you can plan your outfit and don’t risk getting turned away.

Happy New Year From Us:

However you decide to welcome 2025, we hope your New Year’s Eve celebrations are just what you’re hoping for. Happy New Year from the whole team at Bali Solve - we’re wishing you a year full of wealth, health and happiness.
